Ch 2 The solstice
Literally, the solstice is when the sun at its greatest distance from the celestial equater. It only occurs twice a year so in some cases it is something to look forward to, a sign of hope where as the worst has already passed therefore there is much to look forward to. Abstractly, the solsitce is looked as, as a turning point, which either way is something to look forward to. Its the shortest day of the year. There is also an inbalance between astrological signs and their constellations. This could be a forewarning of chaos or maybe as a sign of hope.
