Chapter 50 Fedallah's name by jeff annis

In chapter 50 Fedallah's name reminds us of an Oriental ure and religion. Fedallah has "Allah" actually within the name, which refers to the Muslim god. He is put in the novel as a skillful hunter who keeps to himself because he is so different from everyone else on board. Maybe this is a comment on how people from the eastern world were looked upon by the westerners in Melville's society.
