mark of cain by jeff annis
2. Research and discuss Ahab’s mark of Cain. Closely read and constellate Ahab’s major qualities.
Cain is the biblical character who killed his brother Abel in an act of jealously and envy. His personality and character is closely related to that of Ahab’s. Ahab is primarily concerned with the whale that took his leg in their first encounter. Ahab’s mark is also shown through his scars on his body. These scars were produced by nature’s wrath, proving that he could withstand even the harshest torment from the sea. Ahab is a fearless captain who is preoccupied with revenge for Moby Dick.
Okay, but you don't really show the relation between Ahab and Cain. 3/5
