TOTAL DOMINATION - FEDALLAH
9. Chapter 50, What does Fedallah's name mean?
Fedallah's, Ahab's harpooner's, name means "ransom of God". This is semi-ironic because everyone sees him as a shady, figure. However, he is the one who contrasts Ahab's devilish ways. He is the sacrifice in a crusdade to set Ahab straight. He is also seen as a prophet who is able to see the future through the guidance of God.
