Chapter 93: Pip and Water - Mark
In chapter 93 of Moby Dick Pip falls into the Ocean and is forever changed by his experience. In fact he is so changed by this traumatic experience that many crew members believe he has gone insane. Ishmael believes that during this near death experience he has come in contact with god. As we discussed earlier this year, water is something which all humans have, in fact all humans are mostly all made up of water. It might be theorized that Pip's immersion into water was actually Pip discovering a great truth about himelf, or all humans in general.
