Ch. 4- Pasts

The past of Joe Brown is that he was with Lena Grove and was the one who inpregnated her. He was in her area at one time for some reason. Joanna Burden was an abolitionist who helped slaves and because of this she isn't liked very much. She has lived in the same house for her whole life and still isn't part of the town. Joe Christmas doesn't have a past because he is an orphan and doesn't know who his parents are.

Your past shapes your future. You can't change things in your past but you can work to make the best of what you have done and try and not let your mistakes from your past happen again in your present and future.
