Ch. 73 Kate P, Patrick C, Kyle S

Chapter 73 of Moby Dick explains the purpose of the ship for its adventure: to catch the great monster known as Moby Dick. But the last paragraph in the chapter explains the way Fedallah is cast in the vast shadow of a right whale that the crew had killed earlier in the chapter. Fedallah, referred to as the devil by the crew of the Pequod, points out the amount of wrinkles that the dead whale possesses resembles the amount of crevices in his own palm. It is an inference that this whale is a foreshadowing of what is about to come (like a psychic).
